Dr. Liu Yongue was born in Oct, 1951. He was determined to learn medicine from an early age, and at the age of 12 he took the old famous doctor of traditional Chinese medicine, Dr. Li Hongbin, as teacher, and served his apprenticeship for 6 years. In 1976 he entered Jilin Medical College to further his study of medicine and graduated in 1979. Later on he joined the army and served as a medical officer in 81301 Army Infirmary as a physician, and then as physician-in-charge, chief physician, director of vitiligo clinic. He was also director of Liaoning Vitiligo Research Institute by a special appointment. Through more than 20 years of clinical research, he has formed his unique understanding of vitiligo on its etiology and pathogenesis as well as the prevention and treatment. He developed a series of herbal medicine preparations of more than 20 recipes, which are very effective for the early stage of vitiligo, and are also effective for intermediate and late stage vitiligo. He has published more than 10 scientific papers on professional journals and meetings such as Chinese Journal of Dermatology, The Journal of Japanese Dermatological Association, Chinese Journal of Chinese Medicine Pediatrics and the Asian Dermatological Congress. His recipes have now been granted patents in China.
